What does Mbuni mean?

Mbuni is a Swahili term that refers to dry-processed coffee, which is a traditional method of coffee processing that involves drying the coffee cherries in the sun before removing the dried fruit from the beans. In this process, the coffee cherries are left intact with the bean inside, and are spread out on drying beds to dry in the sun. The fruit shrinks and turns black as it dries, and when fully dried, the beans are removed from the fruit using a hulling machine.
